This platform allows you to watch football films alongside Xs and Os, highlight players for tracking and deep analysis, and show the estimated speed and trails of each player. These features provide a comprehensive view of the game, helping you uncover invaluable insights.
How to Get Started
White80 Football is currently in private beta, you can join the waitlist here. Every 1-2 weeks, we enroll a select number of waitlist users to start using the platform. Once you receive the "Welcome to White80 Football 🏈!" email, you can begin your journey.
To get started, follow these simple steps:
- 1. Visit the App: Go to app.white80.football.
- 2. Enter Your Email: In the input box, enter the email address associated with your invitation.
- 3. Click "Continue with Email": After entering your email, click the "Continue with Email" button.
- 4. Check Your Inbox: You will receive an email titled "Sign in to White80 Football requested."
- 5. Click the Link: Open the email and click the link provided. This will automatically log you into White80 Football.
With these steps, you'll be ready to explore the powerful features of White80 Football and start transforming your team's performance.
How to Use White80 Football
Uploading ALL-22 Films
To get started with White80 Football, simply click the "Upload" button on the sidebar or the "Upload Football Films" button in the center of the page (if you haven't uploaded any films yet).
You can upload a film of a single play or multiple plays, White80 Football is smart enough to recognize the all the plays within the film.
Watching Films
You can click anywhere in the film player to start or pause the film. Hovering over the Play Diagram allows you to drag it to a non-intrusive location. You can also click the "Hide Play Diagram" button in the bottom right corner to close it. The film player includes rewind and fast-forward buttons for 5-second intervals, making it easy to review specific moments. Additionally, you can easily adjust the playback speed from 0.25x to 2x to suit your analysis needs.
Dive Deeper
Plays (x) section lists all the plays within the selected film, allowing you to quickly navigate between different plays. You can click the "Repeat Play" button next to each play to loop that specific play.
Play Diagram section shows the movement of all players in the current play. You can highlight specific players to focus on their movements, trails, and speed to analyze their performance. You can also click the buttons at the bottom of the Diagram for quick actions, such as navigating to the previous or next play, clearing highlighted players, previewing or downloading the offensive or defensive plays, and more.
Config section allows you to customize the Play Diagram display settings. You can choose to highlight player trails, select between full or recent trails, and decide whether to display player speeds.
My Films lists all the films you have uploaded, making it easy to access and manage your footages.
Of course, You can click on the current section to close the right sidebar, providing a larger area to directly view the film.
Current Limitations
ALL-22 Films Only
Currently, White80 Football can only analyze ALL-22 films. This means that other types of game footage may not be fully supported at this time.
All-22 film is video footage that shows all 22 players on the field at the same time, providing a comprehensive view of the action from a bird's-eye perspective. This type of film is typically shot from high above the field, often from the press box or a similar vantage point, to capture the entire width and length of the playing surface.
End Zone Camera Angles
The ALL-22 film is typically cut from two cameras, one on the 50-yard line and one in the end zone, both high in the rafters, allowing coaches to watch any battle they want. However, White80 Football currently does not process end zone angle videos.
High School Football Films Analyze
The effectiveness of White80 Football for high school football is currently limited. Generally, high school fields or the quality of recorded films are not optimal, leading to issues with White80 Football's analysis. White80 Football relies on clear keypoints on the field (such as yard lines, hash marks, and sidelines) to accurately locate player positions.
